I have an Ebay account registered in Australia. I am buying a fishing rod in the UK and getting it delivered t a friend in the UK. Why am I being charged GST? Can I get it taken off? Thanks.

if you change the delivery address to the UK address at checkout (before payment) the GST should not be charged.

Until you do this the system will use your eBay registered address to assess GST.
