I received an email supposedly from e bay, giving me a receipt of purchase for an item I didn't order. I checked my ebay account, no purchase and my bank details are fine, so no issue with ebay. But, who do I report this to?

You could try forwarding it to spoof@ebay.com.au

But things like these are a dime a dozen (I get several a month, including to an email address never used for eBay)

Best thing to do is block the sender

As long as you have not clicked on any links in the scam email. there is nothing to worry about

These emails get sent to people who have never even used eBay

Just pathetic scammers hoping people they email will click on links

Might also be worthwhile reporting it to scamwatch. They would almost certainly have seen it before but like to keep up with how its format changes over time and also try to track when it is most active.
