@123classon wrote:

Items did not arrive, the seller offered to send again but charged me again, still nothing arrived. I requested a refund but got a refund for the one item and "case closed" he still owes me for the second debit, not a purchase but a resent item.

I hope this was not an expensive item as I doubt you are ever going to see that second lot of money.

When you say 'charged me again', do you mean for the whole item or for a second lot of postage? I am suspecting a second lot of postage. Paid direct into the seller's account, not through ebay.

I appreciate that although you've been on ebay for a long time, you may never before have experienced any trouble, so maybe you were not familiar with the procedure.

But when things go wrong, it is never, ever a good idea to agree to a seller's offer to resend something that has not arrived.

Most especially if they expect you to repay postage.

As you now know, you can go directly into an ebay claim for a full refund. In fact, that is what you should do. Don't engage with the seller, go directly into a claim and communicate via that. You only get 30 days after the estimated arrival date in which to open a claim. Never agree to seller's terms. You can't afford to be waiting around. Full refund is what you want.

I suspect the seller will ignore you or if they answer, they will say 'not their fault or concern' as they spent the postage on sending the item and they can't help it if you never got it. I am glad you got the original money back but I doubt you'll see a cent of the second lot. Consider it a learning experience.

As said, why did you go ahead and pay for a second item?

The seller cannot just 'charge you' without you agreeing and paying

Why not open an item not received dispute to start with?

Direct to seller's bank or PayPal (off eBay payment) is all I can guess ?

Don't see how the seller could charge again otherwise?

Who knows?

If you funded that second payment with your card (credit or debit), try a chargeback. It will depend on your card issuer’s (bank’s) T&Cs - specifically timeframe - as to whether it’s possible.
