Ultimate ears, hyper boom speaker

Hi everyone, just a heads up on buying a hyper boom speaker. The seller I bought off has a no return policy and I didn't get a receipt for the speaker so any warranty claim is very hard to make. Also messaging the seller is a dead end they don't answer you back. Tried to find them because it says they are a official seller of the product, sent from the rocks in Sydney no-go there. Logitech Sydney don't have a store or warehouse there what a surprise!. I put in a report to eBay about them not responding to messages but they don't seem interested either. If you do get one of these speakers and need to do a warranty claim go to the real official website of ultimate ears where they do practice customer service.

No returns means change of mind only

Correct, there is no warranty, unless the seller is an authorised seller/re-seller of the brand

Did you click on 'authorised seller' at the side of the page on eBay?

Or did their ad say they are an authorised seller?

What is the item number?

What report did you make to eBay?

eBay do not supply, enforce nor provide a warranty

Have you reported this to Logotech HQ?

The Ad said they were a authorised reseller of the speaker and yes Logitech Sydney are aware of this

So you did not select the option for autorised seller in the eBay menu at the side of the page, is that correct?

The seller saying in the ad does not make it so

That is why that menu is provided by eBay

What is the item number(again) ?

Work for eBay do you, what I posted is a honest account of my experience buying a speaker and I am only getting a positive outcome to the matter because the actual makers of the speaker do practice good customer service

But that is indeed the common retort from people who are not will to accept factual comments

You stated you wanted to post a 'heads up' etc for other potential buyers

You also stated seller said 'no returns'

Again, only refers to change of mind

I asked twice for the item number which you do not want to give, which proves the seller is not authorised at all, hence you have nothing to 'report' to eBay as such

It would have also allowed anyone reading here to look at the item number and know not to buy from that seller, claiming they are an official seller when they are not

And nor would I have suggested report directly to Logitech if I 'worked for eBay'

If you did indeed want to share your experience so other buyers did not make the same mistake and buy from some random and still expect a warranty, you would be taking responsibility for your own buying choices and not attacking someone who asks valid questions

If you were sent the product in the description, you have nothing to report

If you were sent something else, you open and follow through with an item not as described dispute within the time limit, and not say 'the seller does not accept returns'

Simple as that

You post on the member forum, you get factual responses based on eBay policy

Not liking or not agreeing with the policy does not mean it does not apply

had to go back to the seller for the item number 126803780095 and I put in a seller complaint about not answering messages. So are we clear about that now

Ok let's sort this out. I purchased the speaker just before Christmas, My request for a copy of the receipt was not answered from the seller so I thought okay the receipt from eBay should be good enough because of the speakers 2 year warranty. Four months down the track I need to do a warranty claim which is handled by the maker. They were insisting on a bill of sale from the seller. After requesting a copy of the receipt from the seller my messages went unanswered hence reporting it. Now after 14 e-mails and some screenshots of the sellers Ad and me telling them about the seller not responding they practiced some good customer service and decided to honour the warranty claim. Now this whole saga could of been avoided if I was supplied with a bill of sale at the time of purchase from the seller seems warranty was involved. Just to clarify another point, I asked if the seller is a official seller of their speaker and they said eBay is not a official seller.

I don't see how they did, they also simply made factual comments

The ebay MBG is not warranty (again, eBay do not supply nor enforce any warranty)

eBay are not going to make a seller reply to your (or any buyer's) message

And of course 'eBay' is not an official seller for Logitech, eBay do not sell anything

No, this whole saga could HAVE (the word "of" is not an appropriate substitute for "have") been avoided if you purchased an item with warranty - i.e. from a registered seller

Of course they said eBay isn't an official seller... eBay doesn't sell anything

Whatever. I did get it right the first time. The words "of" and "have" are not interchangeable.

As for the keystroke error, I spotted it as I hit the blue button and edited immediately. That's exactly why the ability to edit exists.

It's not my fault you commented about it after it had already been edited. Nor is it my fault that you don't know the difference between a keystroke error (typo) and inappropriately substituting words so the comment makes no sense at all.
