The OP used the scooter for 3 months before it (for want of a better word) broke.

Given that they received the item as described, they have no grounds to open any dispute with anyone. Their only option would be to make a warranty claim if they purchased from an authorised agent who offered a warranty.

PayPal doesn't provide warranty, so any dispute the OP opens with PayPal would obviously be fraudulent... as in, they would have to lie to open the dispute - hence my reason for not advising down this road.

Under the circumstances, they would not be successful with a charge back.

Don't buy things like this off dodgy, random sellers(most likely either registered in China, or dropshipping from there)

The seller is not going to reply after all this time

You and your friend need to care about who you buy from

You are both just lucky you did not injury yourselves (or worse) or someone else

What is the item number?

Never buy anything like this or anything expensive on ebay, that's the short answer.

There is no warranty, no matter what the ad says. Unless, that is, it is being sold by an authorised agent.

Ebay does not provide a warranty either. They have a 30 day money back guarantee if your item doesn't arrive or is faulty on arrival, that's it.

You'd be far better to go to a real store to buy anthing like this. It might be dearer but you'll have some come back if things go wrong.
