FAILURE BY SELLER TO PROVIDE RETURN LABEL

I received an electronic product in a timely fashion which appeared

to work as advertised initially. It was well made and in good order.

I later found that after connecting it to my desktop computer if failed

to work—despite me using several software check and repair programs.

I lodged a return request with eBay, which was accepted, and was advised

that the seller would email me a return label. This has not happened, and

the option to "contact seller" has apparently been disabled. The seller's

advertisement clearly says 30-day returns.

What are my options now, assuming the seller is ignoring me? How can I

report this to eBay, as its own "contact us" option is also apparently disabled?

(After every session, I clear my cache and cookies—is this an issue with the

eBay site?) Any help appreciated.

When the return was accepted, you would have been given a cut-off date for the seller to provide the return label. If the seller has failed to do so within the stipulated timeframe, ask eBay to step in.

It should only take a few minutes for your refund to be processed.

Hi there, the listing is still active, and the feedback you left is also viewable.

What you describe in FB as a fault in the unit, is (according to the user manual) exactly how the item works, unless you make changes to your PC settings, as per instructions provided for various operating systems.

Thank you for your suggestion. I've already checked the speaker/headphones option to "speakers" in my Win 11 sound options, and ensured the volume is set at 75%, but it didn't correct the apparent microphone malfunction. My principal issue now (as per my posting above yours) is an error somewhere within eBay's site—as it says that the item doesn't exist! Which means the return process can’t be initiated.

Why are you trying to open a new return request when you've stated numerous times (including in your feedback comments) that you've already opened one?

There's no need to repeat the process. Just stick with the request you've already opened. If you haven't received the return label within the specified timeframe, ask eBay to step in.

My guess is that the seller has blocked you - which would cause their listings to be hidden from you, and also explain why you can't message them.

Thank you for your response. There is (was) no reason for the seller to

block me, and in fact has not communicated with me at any point, and

has not sent a return label despite my request to do so, with eBay's

confirmation that he/she would do so.

Please see my message #4 (above) to see why my case has now stalled.

I'm now guessing that the microphone will end up at my local charity

shop, as I simply can't be bothered wasting any more of my time with

such a recalcitrant seller—one who's ignoring eBay's Terms and Conditions.

Obviously I've purchased hundreds of items from eBay over the past decade,

and I've not once in the past encountered this sort of scenario with any other

seller.

One would assume that opening a return request is reason enough for them to block you - although neither having nor disclosing a reason is a requirement to block anyone.

There's no need to look at post #4. You have been told that the listing is still active, which indicates that your search result is likely to be caused by being blocked. You say you can't message the seller, which is also likely to be caused by being blocked.

For the third time, if the seller has not provided a return label within the required timeframe, all you have to do is ask eBay to step in. They will provide you with a full refund and there will be no need to return the item.

All we can do is provide you with advice based on the information you've provided. What you choose to do with that advice is entirely up to you.
