But I'm not ebay.

Even when you don't knowingly break any of the rules about feedback, some sellers manage to get negatives deleted.

I hate it too when items are misrepresented but when it comes to the expected delivery dates, you have to believe them. You can't base your expectations on the first date.

You mention the item is now useless to you so I am suspecting it was something you bought for an occasion, maybe a cake topper or something small like that.

But items are only deemed late if the last delivery date has passed.

If you were asking for a refund before then, then ebay will probably knock you back.

Even if the item location is shown as the suburb next to you, never make the mistake of thinking it would 'have to' get to you by the earliest date in the range.

If the final delivery date has passed though, you can open an ebay claim for an item not received.

As for asking for a return, not all sellers offer that. Sometimes if an item is faulty, you can open an ebay claim for a refund and the seller may offer you a postage label to return the item (a seller in China could not), but if there is nothing wrong with the item, not all sellers offer returns.

A seller can't, they can ask eBay and when a seller is registered in China (or drop shipping from there), eBay will happily do so

But maybe it was removed because the item has not arrived yet? was it past the estimated delivery date when you left the feedback?

Why buy from a dodgy drop shipping seller?

The estimated delivery date is show before you buy, so if that date was too far away, why buy?

If it was the last seller to leave you feedback, they already have 12 negs for items never arriving, more neutrals for never arriving and their dodgy as photos are lifted from other websites

Yes, eBay should can such sellers

But you have the full choice as a buyer who you support, and you can choose not to support sellers who already have umpteen warnings they are dodgy

Personally I would rather no gift at all rather than junk from a dodgy eBay scammer

You worry about your feedback being removed, but you ignored all the other feedback that *is* all still there

96.6% for a high volume seller is utter rubbish

Amazon isn't cheaper (sometimes quite a bit dearer) but I have found you'll always be told up front where the item is coming from when you look at the delivery date range.
