Listing removed

Hi guys, I am sort of new to eBay and I need some advice.

Any who, I bought several minifigs from a seller whom I have dealt with before, there was no issues with my previous transaction, so I thought I'd buy more from him, but turns out this time, his listings was removed....after I paid.

The message I recieved was that, eBay removed the listing, because it didn't follow guidelines etc.... would the message be different if the seller removed it himself?

Also what do I do in this situation?

You would not get a message from ebay if the seller removed the listing himself.

Have you paid for your items? If you have I would wait a while and see if they arrive. You have 45 days to open a dispute to get your money back.

Just try and contact the seller about it.

If they are a big seller then it is likely that the listing could have been removed for something very little.

I consider myself to be an honest seller who never does the wrong thing by my customers but sometimes I have my listings removed as well.

EBay has a huge amount of policies and rules it is often difficult to keep up with them. I am unintentially broken their rules on a few of the listings before and had listings removed.

Ebay can remove listings for something so small as the title being wrong or item listed in the wrong category.

If they are a genuine seller and they probably are because you had bought from them previously then they will probably still send you your item.

I would send them a friendly email just reminding them of your order. Do not demand refunds yet. Just allow the seller to tell their side of the story first.

Exactly, if they would send me a friendly warning about the concern with my listing first I would fix the issue.

When they remove my listing I lose everything...I have to create the description from scratch if I want to relist it correctly....

The item being removed or even a seller being de-registered has nothing to do with a Paypal dispute.

You could open a dispute now and then wait a couple of weeks to see if your things arrive before escalating or, knowing how long the last delivery took, you could just wait and see if your items turn up.

I would encourage communication with the seller first. It is quite likely they don't have negative intentions.

Personally I find I feel offended when a buyer opens a paypal dispute without attempting communication with me first. It's as though they don't believe that I will be able to help when I'm always happy to.

I really don't like ebay's automated system of removing listings and THEN emailing all recent buyers of that product to tell them that the item had been removed. Particulary when the item that I had listed was removed for an admin mistake.

Here's a perfect example from today, a buyer from last week who bought and paid for an item from one of my listings. Listing was pulled today, but ebay emailed my buyer about the listing being removed. This is the message my confused buyer received:

"Hi Aaron , received the case and screen protector today thankyou . Ebay removed the listing so I cannot leave feedback , which is disappointing as it would have been all good !!
Thanks for the quick service and communication - I dont know what ebays problem was ."

It makes me look unprofessional. They should only be emailing my buyers for certain policy violations. Also, they should not be removing all associcated previous transactions records. A buyer should still have the right to leave feedback whether it be good or bad. My listing removal was irrelevant to this particular buyers transaction.
