Is this normal?

I bought an item from the US on the 23rd, and it was promptly sent with the usual USPS First Class tracking number.

Up to now there has ALWAYS been some kind of information from the very first day on the USPS site, and this time there is NO information... 😞 It says Not Found No information of your tracking number has been received by USPS system yet.

Should I contact the seller? They have over 3000 100% positive feedback, I wonder if they mistyped the tracking number or USPS didn't scan the item or something else?

My first thought, mistake in the number.

Yeah, message to confirm tracking number, but if it hasn't been through a clearing house yet, may not show it's first point of call yet. 🙂

tracking of items I have bought from USA sellers has not been possible in the last few days. I think there may be a glitch in the computer system over there at the moment.

Thanks, Kopenhagen and Leader. I will wait another couple of days to contact the seller, just in case there is a glitch, maybe until Thursday afternoon...

I have had that happen, for a couple of deliveries. I never ever got any tracking information from USPS. It just kept saying same thing as it did for you, No imformation yet.

It probably isn't normal... however it has happened to me once, the item still arrived, but no tracking information at all.

Actually the seller had really made a mistake with the number.... Now it is all back to normal. 🙂

Speaking of typos, I have noticed that Firefox doesn't recognize typos on this board, while on other boards if you make a typo it is underlined in red... 😐
