Reporting a listing

Hi everyone,

I've found a few listings for viagra and I'm sure the buyers should go through their doctors. I've tried reporting but they're still there. I'd like to contact someone through chat but I can't find it despite an extensive search.

I wanted to report it tonight rather than wait for my failing memory tomorrow.

Is it by prescription only or available over the counter?

To chat, on my ebay summary page, upper right click on customer support.

Then select the contact ebay tab.

Under buying just select technical problem, that will get Chat with ebay.

Viagra appears to be prescription only and is prohibited here as a controlled drug.

Reporting the items is sensible as they may have adverse effects with certain conditions or medications.

Ben, on doing a search for viagra, I don't find any except for some herbal copies that use the name.

These probably don't contravene the rules here, except they may be using the name without the consent of the brand owner.

Prohibited Items;

Listing an herbal product and marketing it as a substitute for marijuana

Listing muscle-building supplements and claiming that they have the same effect as steroids

Listing an herbal product and claiming that it will produce the same results as Viagra

Listing medication with the claim that it has the same effect as OxyContin

Listing a substance as a miracle cure or which makes unsubstantiated health claims

Thanks for your help. It's now done. It needed to be reported both from within eBay and from without to provide extra veracity.

The listings are still there.

does anyone know if Viagra comes in gold coloured blister packs because the description says "original blue" etc so it makes it sound like you are actually giong to recevie the real thing.

Not according to any of the images I just googled - most seem to be silver blister packs, with some that have blue foil as well. The pills are blue, though.

And I really did have to google to find out. :^O

It, or pills that claim to be it, are freely available on line. Buying them though is an idiotic thing to do as at best you are likely to receive something that is totally innert and at worst something that can actually poison you. This applies to all medicines, health suplements, vitamins etc etc etc that are not purchased from a rock solid, government approved source.

This does not just apply to ebay, there have been many consumer watchdog type programs here in the UK exposing these so called medical supply companies for what they are, factories in Asia, eastern Europe and Africa churning out pills made of anything and everything in the guise of prescription meds.

Viagra is a brand name - there are heaps of generics. A lot come from India. Not all of them are blue,

I know this because I buy some *other* generic medicines from overseas, as they are about 1/10th the price than buying under prescription here.

I'm curious too, didn't think it'd go this long.

BTW, Phorum, they were miscategorised in the wholesale book lots, I'm sure I don't need to add that sort of medication to my mix.

They are probably selling the stock from all the 'stores' closed down in the USA ... 4 Corners or a similar doco show did coverage of these stores regarding the deaths of children & adults addicted to using a so called harmless psuedo product [which for the life of me I can't recall the name it was called] that were allowed to be sold over the counter in the US for many years.

Now they are beginning to realise these pseudo drugs are just as lethal as the real thing, sadly only brought to their attention due to the loss of life.
