Buyer feedback

I purchased and paid for an item which was never delivered. I went through the Ebay resolution process and that seems to have had no effect. I wish to leave honest feedback about that seller but apparently I can't because "the purchase was not completed". The lesson is that, on Ebay, sellers need not fear the consequences of taking the buyer's money and not delivering the item.

Did you pay via Paypal?

I recently opened an item not received case & received my refund in my a/c within 72 hrs.of opening same after the case was decided in my favour.

If you use Paypal you have protection.

not so.

if you opened and closed a PayPal claim, within the 45days allotted by paypal, and left feedback within the 60 days allowed by eBay you could have left a negative for the Seller.

Buyers who work within the ebay / paypal guidelines are fully protected.

Well said putney-so few seem to want to read ALL the guidelines & follow them!

Then when it all ends in tears they cry out for help or blame Ebay or any one else but themselves.

NOT so. As pointed out you have full protection & can leave relevant feedback within set timeframe.

Sellers also get tired of Buyers who dont bother to at the very least find out their own rights when purchasing on ebay & then proceed to blame Sellers in general when something goes wrong.

Sellers don't have to fear anything!

Did you think that good sellers are only good because of the fear of f/back?

Is f/back suppose to serve as a threat - or be used as such? Used as a weapon?

And the bad ones don't fear it anyway.

Fear has no place on a selling site! It's not like wandering on the streets late at night, fighting in a war, living in a bush fire/floods prone areas, fear of getting a deadly disease - that sort of thing

And what amazes me continually - and always will - is how many people are up in arms if they can't leave f/back - or it gets removed!

Like it counts for anything.

OP, are you mad that you can't leave f/back because you like people so much that you want to help them - it's your duty like, or to make your self feel better.

And how do you manage this f/back issue when you shop on other sites where there are no provosions for any f/back.

I did leave negative feedback with ebay within 60 days of the attempted purchase.

Your comment about opening and closing a Paypal claim is irrelevent because I did not go through Paypal.

My comment was about ebay's precedures, not Paypal's.

I was simply commenting on how ebay makes it impossible to leave a negative comment about a seller who does not deliver the item because of the very reason that the item was not delivered.

I did do right and I do not have fear.

What makes you think the seller didn't post the item? It may have been lost in the post.

Not that you payed with paypal but regarding opening a INR dispute against a seller with paypal, insurance is NOT needed for paypal seller protection. The buyer should pay for insured post in case the item goes missing.
