Some friends of ours had one years ago and they had no complaints back then.

You could always do a Google search of the brand and see if there are any current issues with them.

I am more concerned with what ebay seller you are looking at purchasing from.....there can be warranty issues and some sellers who sell these items are decidedly shonky.

Has anyone bought one of these for camping?

If so, how would you rate/review it?

After having travelled around australia, I would not buy anything other than an engel fridge freezer. Some of these other brands just cannot handle the conditions. We lost hundreds of dollars of food using a cheaper brand the first time we set off. I suppose it depends on how you will be using it. if you are just going bitumen roads to caravan parks and going to hook it up to mains power then I don't think it would be a problem. If you are doing serious off road, back of nowhere camping then I probably wouldn't risk it.
