Sounds like the item was returned to sender.

Are you SURE that your address is correct? I have had buyers transpose digits in their postcode, state they live in a suburb they don't (assuming the street address is correct).

I would be confirming my address with them. After doing a google on my address to ensure that it is what Australia Post think it is.

sounds like the seller has posted to the wrong address as the OP said they have been there for years and they have received purchases from ebay on a regular basis

Yes letter box clearly states number of house and it's a Main Street... Never had problem! Unless the seller isn't good at writing address in English. If you google earth it shows my house or where is.. I'm over this seller and this is not my fault. Gah!

Over the years I have had a handful of parcels returned to me which were correctly addressed but Australia Post claimed the address didn't exist.

Each time I contacted the buyer to clarify the address details and resent the parcel which was safely delivered the next time.

Australia Post do mess up at times so it may not necessarily be the sellers fault.

Firstly was the item worth more than $6,and if so then the seller probably wasn't too happy about selling it for that amount and then has pretended like they posted the item,I have dealt with a few sellers that have done this in the past saying they posted but never did and blamed AP,I am just speculating about this theory as its happened to me but this may or may not be the situation you're in.

Did you think you might of been a bit impatient?

2 threads and several demanding emails later and where has it got you?

Some sellers dont like pushy buyers, they do have a life outside of Ebay.

Anyway have you opened a dispute for an item not received?

You had better hurry as you are running out of time.

i dont think the OP was impatient, did you read her post, she bought the item last month and seller says it was posted on 29th Jan....that well over 1 month ago so i think the buyer has every right to know what happened to the parcel

Yes I do think she is being impatient

She paid for the item waited 2 weeks then started posting on the discussion boards about it.

When all she had to was wait, if it didnt arrive send one email, no response to her email open up a Item Not Received dispute.

Instead she has made demands from the seller over a $6 item (tracking really?)

She even ask's if the seller can write english.

When a polite email advising them that the item was not delivered and she would be opening a dispute would of had better results for her.

maybe so but even 2 weeks is long enough to wait for a parcel to arrive, i would send a message after 2 weeks and if no response from the seller i would open a dispute

It sounds like you have done all you can do so if you used PayPal start a claim , the seller may resspond and refund before you have to escalate it , if not after a few days escalate it to a claim for item not received .

I don't think she has been impatient, it has been over a month since she bought. Why shouldn't she discuss it on a messageboard if she wants to?

We've got to talk about something.

And whether the item cost $6 or $60, she has a right to expect to receive it.

The seller could well be telling the truth but he needs to get things clear and communicate, reassure her, get it re-posted out.

I still think she was impatient

4 emails 2 threads and a phone call to Aus Post.

She could of handled it better.

Then it gets returned to sender as address is unknown. (but I can see my house on Google Earth) so it was obviously sent.

Whose fault now? Aus Post or the seller.

Just because there was a mistake made somewhere does the seller deserve to be labelled as Dodgy?

Being polite and respectful will get you a better result than being demanding and pushy.

My son went for a job interview yesterday and this is what the Manager said to him.

"People think that as I work in retail it gives them the right to be ABUSIVE".

My uncle had a problem everytime his regular postie took time off, the replacement/s always marked his mail as "no such address" when all they had to do was continue about 10 meters down the road and around the gentle bend and there was my uncle's extra large letterbox. He got a huge letterbox so that he could fit a huge number on it for the fill ins but still they would not travel further down a proper street in the middle of surburbia.
