I dont care what people on these boards say or do.. i know half of them from years ago. Sorry you didnt like my feedback comments but thats why life is so wonderful.. we have free speech.. 🙂

Irrispective of what i write on my feedback the OP is a nutter who should not be allowed to buy online. They have left an extraordinary amount of poor feedback both as a number AND as a percentage and sooner or later they will get a decent seller restricted because of their trigger happy reds and greys

have a nice day

I bought some items recently that were apparently sent prepaid Australia Post tracking. The seller states they instructed Aus Post not to leave items unattended.

I did not receive the parcel, however the tracking is showing as "delivered". I was home all day on the day it was claimed by Aus Post to be delivered, and I have a dog who always barks if anyone comes near the front door.

I have checked at the local PO, who state they don't have the parcel. Aus Post say they are "investigating" but the person I spoke to had a very poor attitude.

There is no way of proving the seller addressed the parcel correctly, or Australia Post delivered it correctly. (I often get mail for the same address but a neighbouring suburb so can only assume they sometimes get my mail too). Or it could have been stolen by someone who works for Aust Post.

Aus Post told me the sender can claim up to $100 for missing items, but that money obviously goes back to them. I am still out of pocket while the seller is paid twice for the goods.

I paid through paypal. If I get no joy from Aust Post can I claim through them? Is it likely the outcome will be in my favour?

Wow. You tend to have a lot of mail not turn up judging by your feedback left comments.

As for your seller - if they can show to paypal that the item was sent with tracking and is delivered, they will not lose.

Can you work with the seller to put in a claim at the post office before leaving a red dot (they won't work with you afterwards) so the outcome is good for both of you?

lol wut?

Firstly, I never said anything about leaving the seller a negative. I don't leave negatives unless they are warranted. I have had a few cheap things I bought from China never turn up and if you look at the feedback for the sellers I left negatives for you will find that they have hundreds of negatives.

As for being an expert on how much Aus Post will compensate for, the only reason I know this is because the person I spoke to at Australia Post told me when I called to enquire about why the parcel says delivered when it wasn't.

If showing as delivered in australia post tracking your chances of getting a paypal refund is slim.

Let us know how you get on.

Oh I meant to say if you have problems with receiving other peoples mail it would be a really good idea to lodge a complaint with AP about it. Then the delivery person will be made aware of it.

You paranoid sellers are ignoring the fact that five of my negatives were to the same seller for items all purchased at the same time which were not received. They were very low cost cheap items from China.

All of the negatives I have left are 100% warranted. Like the time I won an item for a great price as the only bidder, the seller spazzed out and started sending bizzare abusive emails then randomly cancelled the sale. Next day the items are listed with a higher reserve than what I paid.

Another time after I paid the seller emailed me to say the item was out of stock and he would send a substitution which was a total cheap piece of cr*p. The seller kept the original item listed for over a month afterwards, got tons of negatives over similar issues then shut his store down.

Then there was the time I bought items, and the next day ebay emailed me stating the listing had been removed for fraud (I posted about it here at the time). It took me ages to get a hold of the seller to ask for a refund as ebay had blocked all my means of communicating when they restricted the seller. I never got the refund.

As if all you wouldn't leave negatives in similar situations.

I always pay instantly after making a purchase. I expect good communication, timely shipping and no mucking around as do all ebay buyers. If you don't want negatives, don't provide cr*p service.

Does the tracking show as having been delivered to your address or just to the nearest mail centre? If not to your address call Paypal and point out to them that the parcel could be anywhere between the mail centre and your address and there is no evidence of you having reveived it.

If it is showing as delvered to your address you will have a harder job but it is still possible. Ask Paypal if they will accept a Stat Dec from you confirming that you have not received the parcel. If they will get one and send it.

If they won't then if you funded your payment with a credit card contact your card provider and ask if they will do a chargeback, if they won't or you didn't use a card then get back onto Paypal and tell them you are not satisfied with the way they have handled your dispute so unless a full refund arrives in your account within 48 hours you will be putting in a complaint to the FSO

Thanks for all your replies.

Thanks to the efforts of the Australia Post investigations team and some miracle I have received my items!! Hooray.

The seller had addressed the parcel to the incorrect street number. The street number was way off, but luckily the people who lived there didn't just keep the parcel so it was still on the delivery truck destined for the dead-letter office.

I contacted the seller, and they refused to admit they made a mistake, instead calling it "bad luck". They claimed the had the address correct in the "shipping address" field but through "bad luck" the incorrect address was entered into the "billing address" field. They then claim it was further "bad luck" that the delivery slip was folded and displayed on the billing address side when attached to the parcel.

In fact, I sent them photographs proving that in BOTH the shipping and billing address fields had the wrong address. The reply I received said they would not provide an "uneccessary defensive response".

I was prepared to give them neutral feedback in light of the 'constructive' criticism I received on here indicating I may be too generous with my negatives but seeing as they couldnt admit their mistake and simply apologise, they clearly didnt care if I got the items or not, I will be leaving another well-deserved negative.
