I recently purchased something and when it arrived it wasn't what was advertised. I got in contact with the seller who agreed to refund me. I sent it back and I got a message from them yesterday saying they have refunded my money. I also got an email from Paypal saying that it has been refunded. However, I don't have a Paypal account, when checking out, I paid via my debit card as a guest. How will my refund get back to me? Do I need to set up a Paypal account? Or will the money be refunded back to my card?

I am not absolutely sure about debit cards - but paypal refund to the source of the money - so if I pay by credit card through paypal, they refund to my credit card.

Have you checked your card balance? It does take a couple of days.

Some of the Building Societies take nearly a week for it to show in your account.
