ebay mobile app changes frustrating!

Has anyone else been having issues with the ebay app for mobile? I use Android and there is no filter for Australian only sellers when browsing categories. I find this dreadful as I choose to buy from Australian sellers only to keep $$$ local and also cut down on overseas postage costs. I know I can filter via distance, but I'm not very satisfied with the new changes for the mobile app

Oh no, I thought any changes they made might have been for the better. I don't like the app much either as a seller. However I've discovered that you can click on the "classic site" link on the bottom of the app pages and go to the regular ebay website. It is a bit combersom on a phone, but at least it works and gives all the search options as well as combined shipping.

Thanks E-K but I can't find "classic site" on app...and its default sort method is Best Match and I can't find a way to change to time ending soonest. So by the time I change Shop Local to max distance of 1,000km to get Australian sellers only, then change to Time Ending soonest, some pretty good bargains may have slipped through the cracks.

I'm not intending to be a whinger, however if my buying experience and 'your' selling experience is being effected by these changes then hopefully something can be done.

If you scroll dpwn to the bottom of the page you should see the option for viewing the classic site.

I have no idea if the iPhone app is the same but when I do a search there's a Refine button top right of screen and I can select Sort order, Location etc.

nope, no classic site option, from top to bottom when I open ebay app for android:

my ebay : categories : sell an item

reminders

messages

saved searches

saved sellers

my feed

ebay deals

shop gifts

my (my feedback #)

settings

in none of these options is there a classic view, nor Australian only.

If you forget about the app, which is essentially useless, and do a search for eBay Australia, that should bring up the mobile site. The classic view is definitely available from that.

Since updating the eBay app on my iPhone the settings on "my feed" have changed to show items all from USA or Canada, I don't like this as it always used to show things from Australia. Does anyone know how to change this? It's really annoying as I used to love looking through items on my feed but now I don't bother as it's all stuff from overseas!

I use the app for all transactions on ebay, I find when searching for an item aussie sellers are first on my list, it gives me the total number of them, then when I scroll past them it then gives me international sellers, I've sold one thing on ebay using the app, and it was a pain to get it listed.

I can't see any way to sort the feed by location on this latest (and most horrible) version of the app.

I have exactly the same concern as the search results don't give any way to choose location, this poor and retrograde step rendering the app useless to me. Why does eBay update the app and remove vital functionality?!

You are 100% right the latest app version is HORRIBLE
the search results are far less useful and I have now discontinued using it. So much for progress 😡

Yes there have been many ... But the very latest 2014 update is bloody awful.
I just want all my saved searches ... Which are now called "following" to work like they did. Some work some don't. You can't modify them, they don't come in sorted the way I want .... **bleep** and hard to use

I posted about this a few weeks ago, They killed what was a pretty good app for the most part. Have you gone and seen the reviews 1.5 stars from over 1000 reviews.

It's **bleep**!!! I want to look at items in Sydney only so i can pick them up!! But there is no filter to select nsw. So I'm looking at items all over Australia!! **bleep**!!! EBAY get ya **bleep** together!! This is so basic.
