Do not close the dispute until you have the replacement, they could send you an empty package with tracking if you closed it once you see they have posted. I presume they are paying for the cost of returning the incorrect item if they want it back.

Seller sent the wrong item. I lodged a Return dispute, seller has agreed to send the item purchased but asked I close the Return dispute now. Do I close this before proof of postage or hold off.

If you ever open any kind of dispute then you should never close it until it has been resolved and in your case it's when you receive the correct item.

But you should always try and resolve the problem first

Did you contact the seller before opening the dispute to give her a chance to correct the issue before getting a defect?

Thank you for your reply. I opened a Return Request, not a dispute, sorry. I messaged the seller first with no reply in 24hrs, then lodged the return request.. I didn't really know the best way to go about it. They have agreed to send the purchased item, but have asked for the return request to be closed now. So far I haven't had any confirmation of postage of the purchased item. I'm don't want to close incase I do t received the item, can I lodge it again if it doesn't turn up?

Yes I messaged them first and didn't get a reply then lodged a return request. Not a dispute., sorry. It's the return request they want me to close, but I haven't had postage confirmation on the article I purchased, so Im not sure of the correct procedure.

Thank you, that's what I was worried about. But didn't know the right procedure. I'll let them know I'll cause it once the item is received. They haven't mentioned wanting the wrong item back as yet.
