Everything in eBay store is from Kmart

I have noticed a couple of times the same bowls I have purchased from kmart listed on eBay. Today I looked at this eBay store and most items, if not all, are from kmart!
I'm appalled! I will be reporting them to kmart but where is their conscience? Disgusting

I'm not sure what the OP's complaint is? "Appalled" seems a rather strong reaction.

There's nothing to stop someone buying from Kmart and onselling it online. It's called capitalism.

There have been some threads about people even dropshipping from Kmart, but I reckon that if buyers are too lazy to get off their backsides, drive to their local Kmart and buy it themselves, then too bad if they don't get the best price possible.

People are just too lazy to do their own research.

I'd call that seller 'enterprising'

Kmart won't care. They got their profit.

Why do you care? You obviously have access to a Kmart, so why do you feel a need to 'protect' buyers who don't?

Once somebody buys something, whether from Kmart or anywhere else, it belongs to them. If they wish to resell things that is entirely their choice. It is also legal, so neither eBay nor Kmart can or will do anything.

I sell secondhand books. I suppose you will be going to the authors/publishers to complain about that next. It's no different in law to what you're complaining about.

Seriously, Kmart won't care. People can onsell products they have purchased retail.

In fact Kmart would prefer this than a seller buying wholesale and competing with Kmart.

Sorry but they will laugh at you trying to report it.

instead of being appalled, you should celebrate the fact that you saw a bowl you really wanted while shopping at Kmart rather than seeing it on eBay and buying it from an eBay seller.

I'm with others, eBay and Kmart won't do anything.

It's not illegal as everyone except the original producer onsells in one form or another, but I understand it isn't what most ebay buyers would expect. It smacks of a certain cheekiness. In fact, it isn't the sort of thing you would think, at first, would work.

But over the last couple of years, K Mart have drastically cut prices across a range of things, which does leave a margin for profit if sellers can mark it up. A lot is going to ride on whether it is current or past stock too.

It's a great lesson actually as I bet some customers see the item on ebay & may even notice it looks much the same as the K mart item, but assume a dearer price means better quality.

It may work because many customers don't realise it is K mart stock, but if a bit of feedback builds up where some people mention it is current stock, that could cause the seller to start losing custom as a lot of people would quickly look up their own item of interest on the K mart website then, just to see.

After that last thread where this was discussed was posted, I started noticing quite a few stores that are purely dedicated to dropshipping items from K Mart (i.e. they are not physically going into the store and purchasing items for resale, they just take the item descriptions and photos, list them at inflated prices, and wait for an order which they then purchase from K Mart online).

The practice itself, I can't personally condone, but nor can I condemn it as (AFAIK) it's not in breach of any policies etc, and it is not a scam by any real definition.

Oh, well except for the stealing of content protected by copyright. That I will condemn.
