Seller saying I returned different item

So I bought a Graphics card (Computer Part) from a seller and after 5 days it stopped working. The seller received the item Yesterday and is telling me that the Gaphics Card s different from the one they sent me. Seller is clearly Chinese and I can barely understand his sentences, is eBay going to side with them and I'm going to lose my money? What do I say?

Some sellers put their own personal mark on computer parts.

Are you sure you returned the right one ?

Is the seller sunbrisbane ?

Wow yes that is the seller, unbelievable I've never seen anything like this within my years on this site. It actually makes me sick that people like this exist. Without a doubt I sent the exact card back to him.

The seller is adament he put a mark on the card.

And the one returned didn't have a mark.

Was the card in contact with any solution that could have erased the mark ?

I'd like to know why OP says they don't understand the seller when it's perfectly clear what the seller is saying lol.

And I think OP has been caught out because the seller marks their items which I used to do also so it's going to be she said he said

and OP will probably win the case anywayz az dat's how eBayz rollzzzzzzzzzzzz lol

Why would the seller come to the Seller boards and mention this whole scenario if it was false?

The seller has nothing to gain from doing so unless the wrong card was sent back.

@eezipeezi888 I've spent 10 minutes deciphering some of the messages he has sent me. Also look at their listings, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to state names of other memebers on the discussion board but it is a Chinese name.

@kopenhagen5 I don't know what mark the seller is talking about. Why would you put a mark on a computer part without expecting it to be returned. I've bought a lot of computer parts on Ebay and no one has ever marked anything.

cuppy, most electronic sellers mark the devices and parts in case wrong items are returned.

It is very normal and we hear of it often here on the forums.

eezie, Photographic evidence of differences may see the seller in favour.

eBay do support sellers when they can see a different item has been returned.

But as you say it's a he said, she said.

I'm just going by my own experiences kopes as you well know of and I did loose some cases where I did mark items with invisible marker but eBay still gave me a tap on my **bleep** and said on your way lassie haha

Some sellers of high priced items mark them with a black-light pen, for just

such a scenario. The old switcheroo.

You can't see the mark, until you put it under a black light.

Fair enough, makes sense why I've never seen any mark on the components I've bought.

I can't make you guys believe me and likewise the seller can't make you believe them. As @kopenhagen5 it is a "he said she said" scenario.

So, what does that proove?

If anything - goes in seller's favour, as you couldn't see anything - but he can! See the absence of the mark.

And if there is no mark on his item - you returned the wrong one.

Sorry, but the entire message by the seller has a most definite ring of thruth about it - for various reasons - least of all that it didn't take anyone here "10 minutes to decipher it".

it won't be a "he said, she said" if the seller, as they claim, has video and photographs of the item being marked. if the video / photographs show the item being sealed in the package addressed to you itwould pretty clearly be evidence corroborating the seller's story.

If you actually read what I said, you would have noticed I was talking about the messages he sent me, unless some how you have access to my messages with the seller, I don't see how you can have any opninion on the matter.

What seems more likely to you, that the seller isn't too happy that he's out of $500 because the component he sold broke within days, so he makes up the story with the mark (still waiting for this evidence by the way, key point) in order to put the $500 loss onto me, or I somehow have managed to send him the wrong card?.

As I stated on the other thread "Search google images for "nvidia gtx 780" and then "r9 390 sapphire nitro", you'll see what I'm talking about."

Please tell me how I managed to send the wrong card, as it seems to me they look completely different. I don't know how you manage to jump to conclusions when it seems you have no knowledge on the topic.

I'm sorry if I'm getting angry on this thread. It annoying to see other members side against me when the seller has posted no evidence whatsoever yet members are still making the conclusion that I am the one trying to scam the seller.

As it stands, I've bought a Graphics card, it broke within a week of using, I've returned it to the seller, and I'm out $500 with nothing to show for it.
