order moved?

i have an item ordered thats over due, was supposed to be delivered by last friday.

so i contacted the seller via the 'contact seller' went throught the 'my item hasnt arrived' bit to the 'contact seller' where i sent a message asking about my item.

a short time later i get a message back from the seller 'the tracking shows its still in transit'

this i knew as i had the tracking showing 'in transit' thats why i messaged them.

also it had changed from 'delivery on the 6th or 7th to the 18th or 19th!

from sydney to wallaroo! i get a lot of deliverys and 2 and a half weeks it outragious.

but now, i thought id try putting the tracking number into australia posts tracking device but now the items gone from my 'orders' list!

can find it in my messages between me and the seller but not the actual one with the tracking number on it.

where has it gone?

has seller removed it? Could it be coming from China?

its a hard drive from a sydney based computer parts seller, i dont have any reason to not beieve they posted it, i just want the darn tracking number so i can stick it into aust posts mail tracker myself.

it was there before i made contact with the seller, now its gone. the whole order, i have 'my ebay' and when i scroll down past watched items i get my list of 'orders'

scroll down a bit and my order for the drive was there but once i contacted the seller it dissapeared.

i can see it in 'my open requests' but only as a item you bought. doesnt show its postage info or tracking number.

after much clicking and searching i found a page showing the tracking number.

acording to oz post they collected my item on the 3rd, it then went to 'chullora' also on the 3rd, then on the 5th it just says a facility in sydney, nothing since then.

estimated delivery wednesday 12th.

so, a week to travel from sydney to wallaroo.

and i thought oz post was improving.

We had one recently -

Posted at Tuncurry NSW.

Scanned at Strathfield the next day.

Scanned again at Strathfield 6 days later.

Arrived at Gloucester NSW the following day.

The main problem, apart from being at Strathfield for almost a week?

It should never have gone to Sydney in the first place.

It should have gone from Tuncurry to Newcastle, then straight to Gloucester - generally arriving the day after it was posted.

Then again, we had one letter go from Gloucester to Perth in 4 days - including a weekend.

Who would dare to guarantee a delivery time frame?!!!!

I thought all NSW mail went through Chullora. Vic - Sunshine West.

You're lucky. I've seen tracking posted where a parcel bounced between Chullora and Sunshine West for weeks. Just touring the Hume.

Most of it used to go through Chullora, except for more "local" deliveries, eg our local sorting centre is Newcastle.

These days tracking shows Chullora, Strathfield, Granville, and lately just Sydney.

Sometimes mail travels from one to another.

Sometimes tracking doesn't show anything between the lodgement post office and delivery to our local post office (no parcel deliveries out here).

I had a DVD posted as a large letter from two suburbs away. It took Australia Post two weeks to deliver it.

I have been having the same problem the seller claims the stock is coming from Sydney but it is probably coming from Hong Kong they are using trcking numbers that dont seem to exist

They will use a host of stalling tactics and their 3-4 day delivery will stretch out to 3 weeks

also be aware that they use many different account names to further con you
