Overdrawn PP account

Because of the $300+ chargeback my PP account is now -$100. Am I able to still use it or has it been frozen? If I buy something will I be able to pay for it, from my CC? I assume that if somebody pays me it will be automatically frozen (that does not worry me too much) but will they be able to pay? I recall sellers claiming that they cannot receive payments because of chargebacks(?).

I'm not sure about making payments with a credit card, but people should be able to pay you without a problem. Sometimes account restrictions occurr where someone can not make or receive any payments, but that's usually a separate issue (or in addition) to a chargeback (eg identity verification).

If they stop you from making payments just pay without loging in and send it direct

From what I can see, your PP account has not be frozen or suspended, The only funds effected would be the amount on hold, you should be able to proceed with paying for purchases and receiving payments as usual with the remaining funds in PP and or via your own CC account.

Thanks guys; I guess that is something. Although it is now too late for the 2 items ending yesterday that I was going to bid on.

But I am getting bit angry; I do appreciate that when there is a disputed payment there needs to be investigation, and that will take time, as both sides need to be heard.

But when account is compromised, wouldn't it be simple to ask the account owner to stipulate which transactions are legit, and then just worry about the iffy ones? By the account of people coming here it seems that once account security is compromised that just shoot at everything and ask questions later.

Well, I was able to pay, but PP also took the $100+ overdraft 😞

I thought that might happen.

sometime paypal make big problem for seller to make more bigger fee for paypal

It seems unfair that Paypal place you in the predicament in the first place, and then hit you with a fee for it!

I think the fee is only payable if I lose. It is not PP, it's the bank; they should sort out which transaction were and which were not authorised before they initiate chargebacks. My buyer says that she is not disputing my payment, but that her account was hacked and there were other payments taken out. This is the most ridiculous system; i should not have to prove anything if the buyer is not disputing my transaction.
