my tip would be never ever ever use surface mail for ebay, you will have to refund buyer via paypal long before the item gets to aussie

I take it you're trying to select the handling time? That has a maximum 30 days and is meant to represent how long it takes from receiving cleared payment to posting the item, so doesn't have anything to do with actual transit time.

If you want to risk surface mail, you need to select a handling time, then note the delivery time frame in the description (very noticably, so buyers know straight away, before they buy).
