MyEbay message system

Did everyone elses message system in Selling manager change a couple of weeks ago?

I can't seem to be able to filter messages anymore and the emails are displayed differently. Before I could click on a message and it would display below the message list but now I have to click back on the inbox. There is a "change settings" button at the top right (in the mail section) but that doesn't seem to give any options to get it back to like it was.

Yes this change happened a couple of weeks agao.

I was a regular user of the filter function to locate a thread of messages between us and a selected buyer.

Now its a mandraulic process and prone to error (ie miss messages). Costs me lots more time to achieve the same thing now.

This has been a terrible change for me.

I wrote and complained but did not even get the courtesy of any kind of reply.

We are so glad we are working on an exit strategy for this archaic place.

why does it seem like every ebay change is not for the better, It almost always makes the function harder to use.

That would be contingent on the difference between what eBay executives think is better, compared to what the vast majority of non-eBay executives (or other) think is better.

Having regard to known eBay attitudes towards non-big box sellers.

I guess there is a reason for it but it makes it so much harder (basically impossible) to find messages from members. Maybe it comes with the upgraded package or something. It diminishes my ability to provide such low prices for the wonderful products I offer (that was a joke 🙂 but true.)

Thanks for that info DG.

I had not noticed that little search box there until you just mentioned it.

So unsure if that is a new additon too.

But looks like it does give the filtering functionality.

Thanks DG, totally missed the arrow.

In the old format there was a drop down list with all the user IDs, it came in handy finding older messages without the full ID
