Might be a bit harsh saying there's been no response.

They bid at lunchtime today. Nice day in Melbourne.

They're probably out enjoying the good weather.

Hey there.

I have a single (first) bid on my item.

The bidder has a Ebay score of zero, yet has an acount active since May 2011.

They contacted me to see my item, but then placed a bid 30 minutes later.

Now, no response.

At zero transactions since the begining of the registration at ebay, I am highly doubtful this person's bid is legitimate.

Can I remove this bid?

Is it likely to be a person ir can it be a robot?

What would you guys do?

Cheers,

Nigel.

I would let it run to completion. You may have a genuine buyer on your hands.

If you cancel the bid and block them you may not get a sale at all.

If they end up winning the bidding but fail to pay, then you have the unpaid item dispute process to use.

After 4-days (from when the bidding ends) open a case, then after another 4-days close it if they still don't pay.

They will get a non-payment strike on their account and you will get your fees back.

Then you are free to relist and try again.

Second time around add them to your blocked buyer list in case yours is the only strike they have.

Make sure you have your auto-blocks in place to block buyers/bidders who have two or more stikes in the past 12-months.

Then you will weed out the serial non-payers.

Agree with stawks, they might have gone to the beach.

OP, keep in mind many people are only on their computers several times a week.

As well as that, anyone can set an auto bidding service to bid on their behalf at a particular time without having to be home.

All that zero feedback means is zero transactions for which a seller decided to leave feedback. It is highly possible that the person has bought a few things over the years but has never quite worked out the feedback function, and the sellers who he/she have purchased off are the type to not leave feedback until feedback is received.
