Can Anyone Tell Me If The Issue With UPC Numbers Has Been Fixed?

Ebay were supposed to advise me when it was fixed but have heard nothing.

I just tried entering one & it was accepted but I know from experience that it may still drop out.... I don't want to sit down & re-enter them all again only to encounter the same problem & have to do it all over in the future....

If you don't have UPCs and GTINs etc can you just assign fake ones?

Like a numerical sequence 0001... 0002.... 0003 etc.

Or do they validate them in some database before you use them.

So far we have just been assigning the "does not apply" option because that suits our particular category.

I know on Google Merchant, where it is compulsory, you can just assign a fake number sequence to satisfy the field.

Hi Clarry, As far as I can tell, they do verify them... When I first entered them all, any incorrect one's were rejected straight away..
