What is it with buyers

Sold an item for $1.20 plus $1.20 for postage. Buyer after 4 days did not pay so I opened Non Paymet dispute, buyer waits the full 4 daysafter dispute opened then makes a payment via paypal which is pending now for another 5 days. This is Insane all for $2.40.

I will be blocking this buyer. This is completely INSANE. and I have Four hotwheels.which I Love I am not a good speller maybe I should have used Z.

buyers dont understand what we sellers go through and the fees we have to pay ebay..they would not boycott their favourite sellers/stores but they do it online...especially people who dont sell only buy..

if buyers continue to be malicious, we small stores will close down and ebay will not make money off us..good luck to that

It's 'Hot Wheels'. Two words.

If the e-cheque doesn't clear, open a NPB case to get your fees back.

I very much doubt genuine Hot Wheels cars are only worth $1.20, so maybe up your price to more accurately reflect value and you might get a serious collector.

And postage. How would a model car be less than 2cm high? Taking into account SOME level of padding/protection.

My husband has a very large Matchbox car collection. The thinnest one is 21mm high, so I was wondering how a Hot Wheels car could be posted at large letter rate.

Sounds like they didn't have the money in their account. Its annoying, but it happens. Some people live literally fortnight to fortnight - been there done that as a poor student!
Ive had it happen for my $1.50 items (includes postage!).
The eCheque will either clear or it wont. If it doesnt, relist the item. Its not the end of the world... and albeit annoying, the buyer hasnt actually done anything wrong.

I do apologize for being pedantry but with your meticulousness for detail I thought you would be distressed to be seen providing incorrect information. You are of coarse correct, when I search eBay using hotwheels I only obtain 20819 hits compared to 20914 for hot wheels. Your advise as always is invaluable.

emma _fion yes you are probably right about some buyers not understanding what fees sellers have to pay eBay.

I have no idea what fees a seller has to pay eBay because I am not a seller I am only a buyer.

Now as for this > if buyers continue to be malicious, we small stores will close down and ebay will not make money off us..good luck to that .

I don't know about other buyers but I Don't Like Being Tarred With That Dirty Brush . I am not malicious nor have I ever been malicious or disrespectful to any seller or buyer on eBay in any of my dealings.

I have never changed my mind about anything I have purchased on eBay. 9 times out of 10 I pay my account in full instantly the auction has finished the other 1 time I will pay within a couple of hours when I get on my computer.

If I buy anything on a Buy it Now option I pay the account in full there and then.

So next time try not to infer that all buyers are malicious. Yes I can see that you didn't state ALL buyers you only said buyers but there a lot of buyers like myself who do the right thing by the sellers who don't take kindly to being referred to as malicious.

I agree wholeheartedly with you.

I am a buyer only and I consider myself to be a good buyer. I don't muck sellers around and when I find a seller whose items suit my needs I return time and time again. How often do I see sellers mention that return buyers are like gold?

I find it interesting to read the Selling boards and see how many sellers lump their buyers into categories such as idiots, scammers, thieves, malicious, rude.....I could go on but it is too disheartening to see what sellers think of us.

Just as sellers can ban bidders on any excuse that they dream up, so we as buyers can also decide not to buy from sellers based on what we see here.

Hi emma_fion ........ I think ebay is heading towards limiting or maybe getting rid of small & second-hand sellers anyway and preferring to deal with the bigger stores and corporates ....... Perhaps the small guys will be moved to gumtree maybe. Bigger guys can 'carry' the increasing nasty buyers, unfortunately, & this will keep encouraging this behaviour.

Yes Joe it is one of those weeks when the like of Dave steps in to have his 2 bobs worth and starts using words the average person like myself has on idea to its meaning. You are correct I sell mainly Trading cards with some AFL Figurines. I sold a Figurine for $1.20 plus $1.20 for postage (Which in fact costs $1.40 To Post) I only had 1 of these figurines and I could have sold it 3 times over as buyers were messaging me asking if I had this figurine but because the one I have is sold , waiting for payment, I cannot resell it. If and when I get paid it will be over 2 weeks. If I cancel the sale I get a defect. My original post was trying to warn sellers. I dont sell cars, hotwheels well what can I say i love em, but to have ~~insane four hotwheels~~ it could ruin my account. As i said in OP I am not a great speller maybe it was a z and a number
