Stawks even if you are bidding on items it lets you know that the item/s are ending soon and if you receive a message it also tells you .

Via a browser add-on like Adblock it can be hidden by adding the right rule to your filters.

at least i totally agree with you .it tells me know i have 135 messages , i check my messages all day when it comes up in my message tag, and tells me i have 92 items to post , when i have only 28 out of 112 thats paid and there all pick ups ,anyway arg.

Digi, I tried hiding it through ABP some time ago, yes it hid it all right but it also managed to hide other functions that I wanted (can't remember what they were now, too long ago) so I ended up putting it back and now have to live with it's major shortcomings.

Awhile back I received a message through the bell that I had sold an item but I knew that I've never listed or even sold this particular item so when I clicked onto it it was a seller in Germany that had an almost identical ID

If you use the app you can advoid it by not tapping the three lines in the top left corner (latest update of app) and just use the side scrolling menu to access stuff....
