Guess it had to happen.....but why oh why do buyers not contact a seller to resolve a problem?....just go straight to the dreaded red dot....my perfect score all ruined:-(

Are you supposed to scrub non stick surfaces? I wouldn't have refunded until I'd spoken/messaged your buyer, now they might think this is the best way to resolve a problem 😞

Just have a look at her feedback left for others, not one is positive even though there are some green dots. She\He is going on my BBL, even though not likely to purchase from me.

Now she has a refund, do ask for a revision of the feedback. You never know, it is worth a try.

Green cat, this is an unreasonable buyer IMHO, sorry you copped them. Chin up and move on.

Yes I agree, every man and his cat (lol) knows you don't scrub non stick, feels like a bit of a sucker punch actually. Although to be honest, I refunded so I could put that reply against the neg. I am hoping in the grand scheme of things, that another potential buyer will see from my reply that

1. I am perfectly approachable and stand behind my products and the 12 month manufacturers warranty that comes with... and

2. That I am fair and honest enough to issue a refund when obviously I really didn't need to at that stage..let's face it they couldn't have done much worse to me. I am changing my BBL settings, no more new buyers, 😞

I know how you feel greencat, I received my first neutral recently and my first reaction was to reply to their feedback, my second was to message them. I did neither and came here instead to have a bit of a vent and to get other's perspective on the situation.

After taking the advice I received here I was able to get ebay to remove the neutral (the thread is probably still here somewhere it was only last Friday night I posted it).

So I never did get to reply to her inaccurate feedback but I did send her a message. I kept it polite and mentioned that her feedback was inaccurate and told her how disappointed I was that she did not contact me first as I do offer refunds.

Now it is really tempting to respond to the feedback that I left her (yes I left it first) but the good folk here have recommended not to (it's against policy to put anything negative in a buyers fb).

I seriously don't think your buyer deserved a full refund if they scrubbed a non stick surface. And my guess is the warranty wouldn't cover this either. Off to add another to my ever growing BBL

Aww greencat - that really sux - I feel your pain! Unfortunately there are buyers out there who don't stop to think before hitting that red dot. It's happened to me 3 times and I've gone from TRS to 'below standard' because my 'item as described' rating is 1.26% and the maximum allowed is 1.20%.

Don't take it personally - just keep being the best seller you can be - that's all any of us can do... 🙂

Cheers Ad, I know, it is annoying, coz like you I bend over backwards, and I stand behind my product, it seems even if you have all the integrity and honesty in the world, as a seller here, You have to get it right the first time, or be damned! I said I was gong to block all new ebayers, but hell, that's no fix, we were all new once. Ebay need to have 'steps put in place' so a seller/buyer has to show they have at lease tried to contact at least once before bumbling in and hurting someone's rep. Seems, it is all - dispute, claim, Whatever happenned to good old customer service, and giving us the chance to prove we can provide it, never mind:8}

However all the other feedback they left have pos but with not quite satisfied remarks. Looks like a buyer that's never happy. X-(

Maybe after your refund, wait a little and politely send request for revised feedback. My fingers are crossed. 🙂

Thanks Kopes, not even going to ask for revision actually, hoping my reply speaks volumes, but cheers for the thought and it's people like you and the others here that make me feel better about it, whats one old RED compared to the rest. I had a little time out,..... played with my ball of string, (that always settles me lol) and I am back in force, raring to go. :^O

To me, refunding for red dots is like a reward to the buyer for giving them.....

I reply "I was not contacted by buyer. Could have easily refunded or replaced if asked."

I am a buyer on eBay however, I have been thinking of using it to sell off quite a bit of stock and items i no longer need anymore.

I would have thought an easily identifiable inaccurate feedback report should have had some kind of process to reverse, as its obvious scrubbing these items are against warranty and is unfair.

Is it better to open different accounts? One for buying and one for selling?

I am so sorry for you greencat. It is so disappointing to try so hard to give customer satisfaction only to run into buyers such as this one. I admire your professional reply to the buyer. You are right. Other buyers will read that reply and buy from you with confidence.

As others here have said obviously your buyer was a very difficult person to please. But ... what goes around comes around. I think after reading thie post there will be several sellers who add a name very quickly to their BBL.

Typhoon and Cosmo, I emailed the buyer as soon as I saw the neg. I advised them that they should have contacted me, and that I had refunded in full, as, if my buyer is not happy, then neither am I. I also gently suggested they visit the boards to see what other options they could have taken, rather than leave a knee jerk neg. I won't ask for revision as I said before, coz hopefully my 'polite and truthful reply' will speak for me. And honestly, I don't blame the buyer. There needs to be more guidance from ebay - it is almost like they have abandoned ship! I think it has just got so big, they have left us to deal with it all - a self help system in effect: stars, negs, disputes, no real rhyme nor reason anymore. Hell, a mate of mine got an 'INAD' claim aginast them because an item they received was damaged in transit! WTF - item not as described??? What seller is going to advertise a broken item? Obvioulsy it was damaged during transit, but no contact with seller, no chance to offer recompense, just claim, claim claim- The powers that be at ebay are laughing all the way to the bank, but thruth is, they have lost control, and have left the children to play alone in the playground.

Your buyer is a fool and there is no way I would've given them a refund - especially after the damage had been done.
