It is not about if you or me can work it out it is a matter it could be confusing to an average buyer and at the end of the day that is what counts.

I am not sure why you think I am not answering the question.

As a buyer of reasonable intelligence I find it perfectly straight forward, so in my opinion it is simple enough.

Obviously in your experience your buyers find it difficult to understand, so why are you asking for other opinions if you don't want to accept them.

Everyone is different so it is obvious that we are not going to agree. If you believe it can be simplified you could always make suggestions to ebay on how t simplify the system.

Wow I do not offer c+c I do not have a problem. I can however look at things from others point of view and see possible problems I DID offer a possible simple solution in that it would just take a simple pop up between purchasing and paying this would only have to be read once but it can make it clear the item needs to be paid for before it is posted. I am sure there are other, more than liely better solutions which is the point of a forum to brain storm and look for solutions to problems

I really do not see why you can not look at this as though you was new part time buyer as a LARGE percentage of buyers will be rather than as a seasoned buyer.

Going by your logic I can juggle 5 balls easily so I could say it is easy for people to juggle 5 balls go and throw 5 balls in the air and see how long you last. Anyhting is easy if you know how to do it but the majority of buyers on Ebay do so as a hobby not a profession.

It's now 3 sales where I've filed an unpaid item claim only to get a message from the buyer thinking they can pay for the item at Woolworths when they collect their item - pay on pickup.

I know you can't make every system foolproof but there must be a way to inform buyers they can't pay on pickup.

I am a buyer only and have used the Click and Collect at Woolworths. I must say I did not find anything ambiguous about it.

It is quite clear that the buyer has to pay so the seller can post the item for them to collect at Woolworths or Big W.

I think your buyers might be having a lend of you.

Having said that, I don't like the system and would never use it for choice. There is too much that can go wrong....it involves too many steps The seller posts the parcel to Woolworths via Australia Post. Woolworths receives it and sends it on to the store that the buyer has chosen and then the buyer is notified that the item is available for pick up....within a week or it will be returned to the sender.

I would not blame any seller who decides not to use the service.

this system woud be better than getting red carded , or having your parcel in full view instead of in front of the front door, just a couple of weeks ago but this was prob done by the postie , a small parcel the size of about 2 packets of cigies, was left in the newspaper holder , which is fine but it did not fix and most was hanging out ,so anybody walking past could of grabbed it , luckily i got home prob not long after it was delivered. [i live in a pretty much main road] anyway a week later i ordered another same product as i liked it , and the same thing happened again , so i went to the post office and blasted the bloke in charge,

and yes i should of blasted them after the first problem. anyway with good luck i got both my small parcels, on the parcel it had star trak tullamarine. with aus post postage. it came from darwin so i asume plane to tullamarine.

and by the way it got here 3 days late on estimate but i gave te all clear on feedback.

I have never really thought about it as I do not currently offer it as a seller and would not need to use it as a buyer. I just flicked through a few listing and I do not find it hard to see how buyers would think they would be able to pay when the pick the item up and to be honest it would make sense if they did. I did not buy anything to test it out but if there is not a pop up informing the buyer they need to pay before the item/s are posted then it would be a good idea for eBay to add one.

Before anyone says they had no problem you need to understand people think and act differently and a system needs to consider that and a person should not be punished because they think different that is no good for buyers or sellers amdit really would be a very easy fix to add a pop up after the first time a buyer uses click and collect.

After making my first post I thought I may of used click and collect so I went through my other account and checked and yes I did in June I bought a neck massager from Good Guys on Ebay and as a matter of fact I actually did pay for that in the shop when I picked it up. It is interesting, to me anyway, that the good guys are no longer offering click and collect which to me says there was something wrong with the system if a large seller like them stopped using it.

yes i can understand that , but at least dont you have to sign for it and bring in some id to collect it, with so many parcels go missing all the time, is it not safer, i mean my story alone even though not worth that much , there is no way it would of still being in my paper holder had i been an hour later , we get a school of kids going past then , for a start. blind freddy would of seen it. twice

"Cash on pick up" - clearly written right near "click and collect at Woolworths / Big W", in all (?) your listings.

What else would that mean to a buyer, other than paying cash on pick up?

Its not the click and collect program thats the problem, its the ambiguity in your listings. Remove it, and I bet you stop having problems.
