How to change Ebay ID in URL.

Last week I changed my Ebay ID/store name, but today I noticed that the URL address still shows the old name.

I think I remember reading of a way to change this, maybe by reverting to the old store format?

I just don't want to do anything to mess up my listings.

That's pretty much the only way you can do it (the reason eBay decided the URL won't change after a name change in the new format is because old bookmarks etc won't work).

I haven't heard of too many problems with switching back and forth to change something (I've had to do it myself with the shop logo and didn't experience anything odd), so it should be safe enough (not guaranteed ... ) Also, since the name has already changed, I don't know whether switching back will automatically change / update the URL or if you'd have to alter it again while in the old format.

I can see that your name is cushioncovers.....and that your store name is: Cushion Covers Australia...
Is that what you mean?

Hi twyngywn,

no it's the name in the url:

Old ID was: MoonAndStarsShop

New ID is: CushionCovers

But when you go to my store, the URL is www.ebay.com.au/moonandstarsshop

I did notice when i touched your red door it took me to ebay.au.
When i touched the link you put up it took me to usa.
No idea what that means though.

OMG, I finally found how to do it.

I hope nobody also wants to change their original URL shop name becuase it is the most roundabout upside down process imaginable.

Anyway, all changed now.

Can you please tell me how did you managed to change the store URL? as I am facing the same issue. I have changed the store name but URL is still old.

CS can give you a link to do it.

I needed to change mine because, long story short, someone else trademarked my old store name. So I told eBay that I needed it changed for legal reasons and they gave me a link.

I doubt they'd check if you had a similar issue
