Hi all, How do I get a refund for an invoice rather credit. I don't want a credit on my PayPal account, I don't sell much also I think it's not fair. I received an email to say I have this credit from a sale that was refunded. I've tried having a call made to me but it's not working. I get an email saying they tried calling but couldn't get thru even though I have correct contact number in my personal details.

Thanks in advance!

Jen

Oh, I'm not a big Ebay user so not aware of spams etc. Yes, I am asking a legitamate question about an invoice I received from Ebay and want my money back rather than a credit. Going to check my Paypal account tomorrow to see if it's gone in so I can just withdraw the amount.

Are you saying you have received an invoice for the fees for a sale that was never completed?

Refunds are not automatic in this case. You need to either cancel the transaction or open an unpaid item dispute to get your fees refunded.

If you do not use ebay very much it might be a good idea to make yourself aware of the pitfalls....and one of those pitfalls is spam emails supposedly from ebay or paypal. Do not click on any links in emails in case they are spam....always go directly to paypal or ebay from your browser.

Hi Lyndal
Thanks so much for your great reply to my question. I did the the suite but with mutual agreement it was canceled and I refunded the money to the buyer. That was a couple of weeks ago. I canceled the transaction at the time.
Today I received the invoice email. I think it's authentic.
Thanks for the heads up about spam.

It means basically when you pay next months fees it will not incluse the amount you have been refunded. If it is a refund for FVF it is notusally something you have even paid it just means you want have to pay that fee. If it is for an item that has been returned you may of actually paid the FVF but as long as it is less that your fees this coming month it want make any difference getting Ebay to give you the money as it will need to be paid to thgem soon anyway
