Entering tracking number & marking posted not saving

Hi Guys

Has anyone else has any issues with marking items as posted, yet they still remain in the sold view, awaiting shipping?

I have been entering the tracking number, which usually saves with the tracking number there to see and the posted icon filled, but it's not happening. So I am packing items, entering the tracking number and saving all the info - then go to the sold list - there it is, like I haven't done a thing!

Worry is that I could send this item 10 times, if I don't take the time to really think about what I am doing.

I have found there is a delay in updating the ebay record s- I usually go back in 30 minutes just to check if it has not updated and find it is showing correctly.

Are you hitting the refresh button before going to the posted section?

Yes, it has happened to me a couple of times. So I mark my invoice copies as packed (with date) and then posted (with date), and I do it with a red pen. That takes a little time, but saves a lot of angst when there are glitches with the computer.

For tracked items I print out the AP summary, tick off that they are marked as pack and posted and once I have the lodgement docket I staple that to the corner and file away.

Admin does take some time, but worth it when something goes wrong, which fortunately isn't all that often. But for "piece of mind a little time saves nine" as the saying goes.:-)

As I use click & send items are automatically marked as sent and the tracking numbers added but if the manual input isn't working and you are using SM just use the add a note function to say posted.
