Good to see you posting a legitimate thread topic, one that can illicit serious replies. Hopefully you have not put on ignore the members that are best able to help you with this thread topic, though I suspect you may have worn out any goodwill you may need from them for them to actually feel like posting here to help you (that is a lesson for the future - don't burn bridges)

You DO NOT need any special programme to do good descriptions. Most buyers I know don't like descriptions that are filled with frilly borders or unnecessary and distracting HTML features. Just include the information a buyer needs in a description.

You can do a google search for free eBay listing templates.

My advice is to type out your descriptions in a word type document and cut and paste it as your listing description. This wont cost you anything as most computers come pre-loaded with a word type programme.

Avoid:

- multi-coloured text

- multiple sized text

- animations

- unnecessary pictures used as decoration

- scrolling galleries

- unnecessary borders

- unnecessary links to other pages or websites (keep people on your listing page rather than distracting them and sending them elsewhere)

I do currently do it in word.

I have seen some people using programs or on-line templates.

They seem good but cost about $300.00

You want to know how to write descriptions, sell more, make money. Well here it is..........spend your OWN time doing YOUR job. It has taken me quite a few years to get where I am today, and it a lot of work, ALOT. Then you come along and want other people to do your work for you, while you sit back and reap the rewards. It doesn't work like that. Stop asking this forum to do your job for you. We all had to start out slowly and we all did it by ourselves.

How would you know about ebay policy's, you never read them. And for the record, I am not being aggressive, I'm stating a fact. People won't do your work for you. Oh, I can comment on anyone's thread I wish too, that's in the ebay policy.

If eBay had a "fun environment" policy they would not have introduced seller defects, MBG or the multitude of other changes that have taken the fun out of eBay for many sellers.

edit: I would also suggest that you follow your own advice and not post inappropriate comments towards other members as you have done on numerous previous threads.
