Overseas sales

Soooo, overseas sales have almost disappeared. Down by two thirds!

Limited sales for 6 weeks.

Scratched the noggin......nuthin' fell out.

For some reason - who knows why - I checked settings today

Worldwide was ticked .......................

Aaaaaand 'other ebay sites' was unchecked!!!!!!! (Site preferences> SMP)

2 stores were on Australia only and the third was on ebay Germany and Ireland only

What the??? Ebay fixing things again?

Maybe peeps should check their settings - just sayin'

The gremlin things are out in force. It might be the same gremlin that altered someone else's BIN price over the weekend.

I'm on Australia only, which is fine if you only want to list on eBay.AU. (If it's the "List on these worldwide eBay sites" setting you're referring to, that is - changing that setting allows you to list on other eBay sites without having to log into them).

Yep, I was listed on other sites, but somehow it got unchecked,

without me going near it.

I'll see if I get more o/s sales now

I think there may have been a misunderstanding, as that particular setting isn't about visibility on other sites...

With my settings (Australia only), I have to log into eBay.com to create a listing on the US site. If I check eBay.com in the site preferences, I can list on eBay US (in USD) without having to go to eBay.com and logging in there to create the listings.

Slightly different to your topic, but when I was listing on ebay.com.au yesterday (for posting to Australia only), every single listing had a message saying VAT was included, with links to find out more details. I clicked on a couple of the links just out of curiosity but it said the page wasn't available both times.

Digi, I didn't check visibility before re-setting.

But sales have dried up o'seas. One store was checked for Germany and Ireland only,

and that's stangely where most of my o'seas sales were coming from.

Seems a bit coincidental. But I'll see how it pans out.

Maybe eBay is going to start paying tax (and GST) on their currently 100% repatriated Australian revenues?

The other site I sell on has recently started charging VAT on all of their seller fees, but it's currently not affecting sellers outside of the EU, so I think it probably has something to do with changes to laws over there.

They have their head office in Ireland, though, so that might be making a difference.
