How to upload video?

Guys what's the best format for a video that I will put in my description?

Also I was recommended to use Vimeo Video Hosting for my eBay videos but eBay customer service rep just told me Vimeo is not allowed... is this true?

What's the best one to use out of the video hosting sites that are allowed?

Would that be considered an active content feature? If so, eBay are discouraging the use of such things in item listings to make things more plain and simple for users on different devices.

If it was me, I'd just host the video on YouTube and put the link to it in the description. The potential buyer can choose to see it if they wish, rather than potentially being forced to start playing/downloading video content unexpectedly when your page loads, the kind of thing eBay wants removed from the site by 2017.

the way the active content will effect videos in 2017 is that eBay will require all our videos in our description to be of HTML 5 format so it's mobile friendly 🙂 but right now we are still able to embed the html code from Video hosting site like you tube or vzaar..

eBay doesn't want videos removed, they just want it all in HTML 5 format so it is faster and more mobile friendly for buyers....
