Wish I could warn you...

Wish I could warn you guys about my latest buyer:

16 negs left for sellers, with lots of "did not arrive"

Must be Australia's unlukiest buyer.

She's just bought from me, so I have yet to send her item.

I will, of course, add tracking at my expense.

I'd be more interested in following the sellers she's bought from, but then again, their negs would be clearly visible to anyone who bothered looking. I didn't check them all out but most of the ones that got negs looked like the kind of shonky Chinese sellers who give the stock response of "working with buyer to resolve", when they're doing no such thing.

I'd have no problems selling to this buyer, going on who she's given negs to. I'd prefer a buyer who is honest in feedback and if I didn't receive my item from China I'd probably neg rather than contact the seller. Some might actually fix the problem but a lot would just make false promises and try to string it out, and I've learnt not to waste my time with some sellers. I say this based on feedback responses I've seen from quite a few Chinese sellers. I did buy from China once - didn't actually expect to get 100 in the packet like I was supposed so wasn't surprised when there were only 95. I should have left feedback warning others but didn't bother. On my part, I got what I expected, even though that wasn't what was in the listing.

Valid points, but then without knowing anything about the buyer at all, it's also plausible that they choose which sellers to leave that comment for well enough... But then, I have to freely admit I've seen too much to be able to take "not received, not happy" comments as likely to be genuine, so I am biased.

Yes, she seems to leave a lot of negs based on the quality of cheap junk she's bought from chinese sellers, expecting say, a $4 pair of jeans to be of equal quality to brand name jeans.

Chinese sellers aren't all bad, I bought a cheap phone charger one time which was dead on arrival and when I contacted them, they quickly sent me a new one that worked. Great customer service.

I have dealt with several of the Chinese sellers that she negged and had no problems at all.

I got exactly what I paid for and expected, sent promptly and arriving in good time.

so true

ive bought lots of cheap items from chinese sellers

had a few go awol but recieved refunds no problem.

i wouldnt buy anything electrical (240volt) or anything expensive though.

I would pay the extra $3 or whatever it is for signature on delivery but don't advise her that your sending it that way. Will be interesting to see if she claims.

if she uses PayPal they may suspend her account too for too many Not Received claims. About 3-4 years ago I had a few Item Not Received claims, which back then you only had 45 days to claim, items eventually turned up after escalating within the further 20 days and PayPal suspended my account advising they didn't want customers like me! I closed each claim once received. When I explained that the retailer was taking up to 6 weeks to post, they didn't care they just said they don't want to do business with people like me. Now I had 5 claims in 18 months, all bar one turned up, a China delivery, and the whole value was $3.74! Treated me like a scammer, well, that's how I felt.

so I kept email them demanding the delete all my details immediately, not in 18 months time like they advised or I would take legal action. They then changed their tune and reinstated my account when I also told them how much in fees they would lose!
