Many years ago, someone from the community boards here did me a beautiful avatar. My son now tells me it is a bit dated. I have no idea who it was because I lost the details. Can anyone recommend someone to do me a new/revised avatar please?

Duplicate thread....you have an answer on your other thread.

You may be better off asking on the Community Spirit board as that is where the members hung out who did your avatar. However, I don't think they are around now.....have been missing for quite some time.

I like it too but my son thinks it's old fashioned. He may be wrong and we may be right, however, that it's just fine.

How old is your son?

There comes a time when every child thinks their parents are old fashioned and don't hesitate to say so.

If you like the avatar (I know I do) then stick to your guns and use it.

I doubt that you are going to find the members who did your original one.

I'm glad you decided to keep it.....I think it is very cute.

There just might be an obstacle though....I am sure I read somewhere that ebay has said you cannot have a moving avatar.

I am not 100% sure of this as I don't have one at all but it might be worth checking before you use it.

I would just image it and have it as a stand free avi.

You need to keep it if you get repeat buyers because it's instantly recognisable and they know they've got the right seller. Most businesses keep their logo for years for the same reason.

An avatar is what you use on the boards, which the OP is conspicuous in their absence from. Until they thought their child might know better than adult people.

A store logo is another matter, but not the one addressed here.

The son may be adult and a marketing or advertising manager of a large firm and so thinks he knows more than mum. We weren't told he's a child.

I thought perhaps the avatar could be used somewhere else, eg. the website they have promininently displayed on their feedback page but which I didn't click on because I wasn't all that interested.
