Viewers/Watchers

Please can anyone help with a solution. Viewers/Watchers is not showing on any of my listings. I rang eBay, no help. I was told that I was the only one with this problem.I have never had this happen in the past. Is it possible to fix it ?

I get different view and watches on my phone than on my laptop.Sometimes I get watchers and no viewers.I think it's all fake..I suddenly get a bidder and buyer on listing that have had no views.for ages.

Try logging into American Ebay (ebay.com- not ebay.com.au). I like to check my items (evev tho I dont sell to America it still shows details such as Views AND watchers as opposed to just watchers here on Australian Ebay! See how many views you're getting on their info. You know just log in on their log in page!

Pat, it's been a common issue on n off for the last few months for selected members.

Tends to correct itself after a day or two.

Just think, you are one of the selected few.

silver - We get views n watchers here now also.

Hi Kopenhagen, yes we do, you're right! What I should have said was on EBAY.com/ american- you get the views/watchers side by side so you can see how many Viewers become watchers!. Very useful to see how popular a listing or product is. Not enough kawfee!! See... spending too much time on American site!

If you are using SMP you can customize your active listings to show both watchers and views.

I'm not sure what customizations are possible in the other views ie Sold, Unsold etc.

HI Dazzledayz - How are ya?..Im using selling manager pro!! .I didnt know you could show yr views & watchers, on the one page ( do you mean?). I dont konw how to show them together , by customizing my page ! Could you (at yr leisure!) please tell me where I might find where I can see my views in a list maybe- next to the watchers hopefully? If you've got time? Dont mean to give you homework!

Just as well we have these forums as eBay has become just so complicated (and help so unhelpful).

Sometimes it's not a bad idea to just have a bit of a poke around on frewuently used or changed pages to see what's on offer by way of options.

We never see a changelog; things just get changed and we are left to our own devices to figure it out.

Welll... I'm back from staring at my Views/Watchers in the one spot ...still happy I no longer have to go to EBAY.COM to see those stats but having looked at them now for so long Not so happy on seeing how low they are. Views / Watchers / Sales = VERY SLOW XMAS !!! How are you going Dazzledayz now & everyone else? Anyone have a pick up in sales. Still cant believe how sloooowwwww it is!!

I find that looking at 'views and watchers' stats is worse than witching paint dry.

Styles, here's another customzation I do you may find useful:

In sold view, you can include a new column that shows postcode.

Very useful if you are doing a lot of parcels as you will be able to calculate any local discounts without leaving the page.

You're right about the views/watchers nubers being a bit depressing.

eBay seems to be down about 40-50% on numbers ATM

Yeah, but if you leave the lid off the can, the paint dries really quickly. Paint it like hot milk, it gets a big skin over the top.

YUP !! Dazzledayz! I'm down about the same still .... 40ish% Very WEIRD isnt it !! at Christmas!! Large increase normally for me at this time of year !! You would normally get an increase too, being books are a Xmas/ holiday type thing!! Hope whatever reason caused the downturn- will just fade away & we get back to better sales. Any thoughts on this theory (think I saw something suggesting this as a possible reason for the lights on / lights off theory)- THAT Ebay's website isnt big enough to display everyones items all at once!!!!. So they have to manage everyones listings in "shifts" So similar to the Lights on/off being to spread the sales out so everyone gets a piece of the sales action... maybe it's really that they dont have the capacity/ space on EBAY to always have everyones items on display?? Just a theory, I saw somewhere. (And thanks I'll check out that postcode biz)

this is an ongoing problem. You are not the only one. Ebay is aware and says they are working on fixing it.

It has been over 3 weeks now.

Given that this thread is about 2 years old (a zombie) and the problems are still persisting I wouldn't be holding out hope that the problem will be fixed anytime soon.

The counts will eventually reappear but there is absolutely no guarantee of their authenticity.
