Selling items here and elsewhere simultaneously

I thought that ebay had changed their policy regards listing here, as well

as advertising elsewhere at the same time.

Simply because no-one could find the policy.

Is this what we've been looking for? I've highlighted it.

Not allowed

Including conflicting product information in a listing, such as saying you have a 16G MP3 player in your title, but 8G in the description
Including comments that discourage buyers from buying on eBay, or that could make them lose trust in eBay sellers and eBay.com.au. For example, we don't allow statements like "eBay holds me to a standard well above 4 stars. 4 stars will get me suspended, so please only leave 5 stars."
Including our PowerSeller or eBay Premium Service icons or similar logos and expressions in your listing. We'll automatically add these to listings if you are eligible.

Listings that contain inappropriate or offensive opinions or comments about other eBay members
Listings that contain political views, public service announcements, or other content that does not relate to the sale of an item

There is the rub.

If you don't tell eBay members it's available elsewhere then you are okay.

I certainly don't mention in my listings the other places my items, which may or may not be duplicates of the eBay listings, are available. That would be a policy breach.

I've seen listings that say things like -

"I reserve the right to finish this listing, because it's advertised elsewhere"

And no-one could find the policy regarding this, so we all assumed that

ebay had changed their policy

It's been discussed here, more than once.

Once upon a time it was not allowed to advertise elsewhere since eBay were predominantly auctions.

eBay then changed the wording so now it is allowed but don't talk about it.

The pertinent word would be 'stating'. I don't state, therefore I'm not in breach. The only people in breach are probably newbies who haven't worked out the system.

It is allowed to list items elsewhere.

You just can not STATE it in your listing as that may be viewed encouraging sales off eBay.

eBay cannot enforce the exclusivity of goods available in its marketplace. It would be signficantly restricting a sellers trading. Thats not OK.

Not only not OK. it is almost assuredly a breach of the TPA. Not that that has any teeth these days if a corporation has deep pockets. Which most do, as they pay little or no tax.
