Secret Negative Feedback For The Seller.

Postage time	0.50%	2	0.09%	1

My question is:

How can a secret negative feedback be given for postage time when we mark the item as sent and mailed in 24 business hours?

Surely the eBay computer can tell what day an item has been marked as sent.

Or am I missing something?

You have 100% positive feedback and 5 stars across the board. You can not have anything better than that so I don't know what your problem is.

If I were to sell something to you I could mark it as posted within an hour of receiving your payment but that doesn't mean I have actually posted the item. It is open to abuse by that very very small minority that cannot deal with people honestly and openly.

Yes that small percentage!

We get a photocopy from our Post Office of the postmark and address of everything we send out. Mostly we get 6 DL envelops with all the information photocopied per A4 page.

I would call that proof of an item being sent, where and when. It does not confirm item received but mailed is checkmate to me!

You have remarkably high DSRs for the volume you sell so why on earth are you worrying about one buyer who doesn't understand how the postage time works and thinks it applies to the delivery time, not the time you take to post.

DSRs are a comparative tool so that buyer, and others,are purely rating from the their viewpoint so of course there are going to be cases where a rating is unfair, there is also the mobile factor, when people are using mobile phones and small tablets to access the internet where it is very easy for them to 'press' the wrong 'button'

It doesn't matter how much proof you have that the item was sent, ebay don't have access to that info and they are certainly not going to employ staff to verify copies of postage receipts sent to them just so a seller can get a DSR rating changed. Considering the number of global sales and the proportion of buyers who mark stars down either by accident or because they are peeved off at a particular seller or ebay in general they would have to employ all the adults in a small country, do you really want to pay the extra fees that would cost?

With your total feedback you would need to get a couple more low ratings before it had any adverse effect on your account so why not concentrate on continuing to offer what is obviously a great buying experience for your customers and forget about your DSRs.

Thank you all for your comments very refreshing.

With the new system it is telling me one more neg on mailing time in the next two months and we loose our TRS status and the page positioning I now enjoy with many of the eBay's.

It would also affect my FVF from 6% to 7.9% if I read it correctly.

I can cope with the missing mail etc but negs on postage time when we break a leg to give top service in all areas, at all times........

We understand the seller is always wrong with normal feedback ratings and we can deal with that....

it isnt a NEG it is a 1 or 2 rating, and nothing will change it, sometimes they are left by accident when using an iphone to do the feedback.

where are you reading about FVF and discounts?? not seen anything about that on ebay AUSTRALIA ?:|

can you let us know where you read that please

Yes I have misread the FVF info. It is in an email from eBay and strangely it is not about .com.au.

It is about .com & .com.ca
