Parcel Lockers

If an item is being sent to a parcel locker, is it scanned as being delivered? I just noticed one of my tracking numbers isn't showing as delivered, that should have arrived a week ago. Last scan was Sunshine West (parcel was going to Vic). I haven't heard from the buyer and there is no feedback left, so how do I know if they've got it?

I think I recall hearing that things sent to parcel lockers are often bulk scanned on arrival,so I am not sure how that translates with tracking info

But, having gone through the dark forrest that is Sunshine West, anything is possible

Hoping it is with the buyer safe and sound,or is about to be once they unlock their locker

I assume it would be the same as safe dropped parcels I get all the time.

They are always scanned as delivered.

Sunshine west being one of the black holes could have something to do with it.

Hi Tippy,

I recently sent an item to a parcel locker and the tracking number showed as "delivered" when the buyer picked it up.

Tippy I can only tell you what happens when StarTrack drops an item at a Parcel Locker.....it is scanned as a Safe Drop item. A picture is taken of the item at the Parcel Locker. As far as StarTrack is concerned it has been delivered to the address that has been provided.

it shouldn't be marked as delivered until the item has been collected. i assume that the post office or whoever is responsible for it checks whether or not it has been collected and then marks it as delivered. i assume the time wouldn't be right, but it should be accurate.

the reason i say this is that the tracking event before this should show "awaiting collection from parcel locker."

i've attached a copy of the tracking for a recent parcel locker sale i had for your reference.

this is the only sale i've had to a parcel locker recently which still has tracking available - but i recall in the past there's nearly always a tracking event for "awaiting collection from parcel locker."

It took 2 days to get from Chullora to Sunshine West. Posted NSW on Jul 18. Scanned at Chullora the next day. Last scanned at Sunshine West Fri Jul 21st.
