Price reduction

I just received an email from ebay advising that an item I had viewed had just had a price reduction - it was NOT on my watch list. When I looked at the item it did not have a less 10% or sale etc. But the price was lower than I originally looked. I have never come across this before. Does anyone know how this works and how to do it?

I get those very often - the item doesn't have to be on your Watch list, you just need to have viewed it at some point. No idea how the reduced price works if it's not showing on the item...

I get these messages all the time when I decide to reduce the price of one of my items by as little as 50c. It's a little glitchy since eBay should know that you don't want to buy your own items, but it's still amusing to get the messages. And I don't have 'SALE' or 'xx% off' in my ads - all that I have done is reduced the Buy-It-Now price.
