Since i started switching to FREE Registered Post with 1 day handling time, why is the truck not showing..

We are all just members here like you, but someone else may know or they may still have their truck/missing their truck)

Otherwise, select help and contact at the bottom of any page to contact ebay and ask why it has been towed

The default postage is free, maybe because my items now require signature, they cant guarantee the 4 business days

yeah, but it still has the express post option, seems all Registered Mail doesnt have the truck, and Standard Mail has the truck, if i switch it to parcel and signature i think i get the truck but thats misleading as my items are sent registered mail not parcel post with signature. im a bit in the dark lol

It seems that Standard Post - Registered doesnt qualify for the fast and free truck, but the Parcel Post + Signature does, if i switch back to parcel post + signature isnt it misleading when you send your items mostly large letter but registered ?

my understanding is that for "fast 'n free" to be available on your listings, you need to be able to guarantee that delivery will take place in what ebay classes as a "high-level of confidence" within 4 business days from the time it's been posted.

as regular post letters, the estimated delivery time can be up to 2-6 business days and parcels can be 5-6 business days, i believe it falls outside the guidelines. think it also depends on the postcodes - it may appear for you in the search results when you conduct your own search, because presumably, a delivery within close postcodes, would be quicker than interstate etc. i could be totally wrong though.

I'll change every listing back to 'Standard Postage (Australia Post Parcel Post Parcel + Signature)' then because it least that gives the truck logo , but i just thought it maybe misleading in the post service i use, only difference is mine is a large letter post registered and not parcel post with signature. its weird how one service has it and one very similar service doesn't , i see not much difference..advice ?

if you want to post an item number we can take a look at and see if the logo appears? it may appear for you, but not for others, because your postcode will be the same postcode as the "send from" postcode, so it might take less time and therefore show the logo.

truck is back on everything, seems registered post doesnt give the truck but parcel post + signature does, so i changed to them..

hey swapwaregames - i don't want to burst your bubble - that's not my intention - i came back to see if the issue had been resolved.. and i found that the fast 'n free doesn't appear on any of your listings for me. i assume it's because i'm in WA..

when i changed the postcode to a "3xxx" postcode and went to "get rates" the fast n' free logo did appear, but when i changed it to a "4xxx" postcode, it disappeared again. just for your info and maybe ebay c/s have another solution?

I'm in Brisbane and I looked at several of your listings. None of them displayed the Fast n FREE "truck" symbol.

I think it largely depends on where the buyer is located.

If ebay can estimate from your postage options that the item is likely to arrive at the buyer's location within 4 business days with a "high" degree of confidence then it will display. Otherwsie NO.

If you are looking at your own listings then it should always display (if you meet the other requirements) because your postcode is the same as the item location so will meet the 4-day estimate.

I'm in a Melbourne suburb, just like the seller & when I checked out some of the listings, there is a little fast & free truck on some but not all of them.

The ones with the truck are all saying estimated delivery is on or before 24 Oct.

The others without a truck all give estimated postage eg 23-30th Oct & say to use express postage for delivery before 23rd. There are several ads still without a truck & as others have said, that would be because delivery might take up to 11 days on those ones.

I also noticed the seller has the little round ribbon award on the ads, the one that says ebay premium service. I would take that to mean reliable, experienced seller & that would count as much to me as getting an item maybe a day or so quicker.

I suppose it depends on how much a seller thinks the truck will influence buyers. From my own perspective, the 'free postage' is what my eye goes to rather than the truck as it means I don't have to add any more onto the total. Fast is nice but not usually vital (for my purchases anyway).

Without the truck a seller gets a few more days grace to get items to buyers.

For anyone in a rush of course, the truck will be an attractive feature as no one enjoys paying extra for express postage.

To qualify for the ebay premium service badge you must be a Top Rated Seller plus ...

To qualify for eBay Premium Service, you must offer all of the following on each listing:

Free postage to AU buyers

Same business day or one business day handling
30+ day money back return policy
Express postage option - offering delivery within one day

Not too sure about the express post option as not all postcodes qualify for next business day delivery.
So you can't offer one day to everywhere.

It seems a bit confusing why you do not see them all as Fast n FREE as you are close by.
To me it appears that the key difference is the ability of ebay to estimate 4 days delivery confidently.
So that right there pretty much rules out anything not in the immediate vicinity of the seller unless they offer FREE express post.
