Of course if its ridiculously low they may just ignore it. Some may even block you if it is so low it looks like you are taking the Mickey.

I certainly have no time for pople who offer $5 on a $40 item. They are likely to find themselves blocked

Have made an offer on something, kinda a little low,(feeling lucky :p) with a sellers counter offer which will be quite a bit higher if they send me one can I offer lower than their counter offer?

Havent really done the make an offer thing before when buying

Sellers are not required to make a counter offer. You can decline any counter offer that is put to you. Then, you can make another offer to the seller. You only get to make three offers to the seller (unless you have more than one ID in which case you can make up to three offers on each).

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? You could just save time by setting a "decline all offers" to a certain number and not have to block anyone.

It wasnt rediculously low, but a bit lower than they wanted, certainly not in the percentage bracket of $5 on a $40 item

Hey dilly dilly :-x

bummer missing out by $5 .....

I have only ever listed an item with Make an Offer once.

When setting up the listing i was able to insert my lowest $ that I would accept offer-suggestions for.
What I assumed that meant was that If i had BIN $40 or Make an Offer, ( and if i had acctivated the minimum offer box to $30)
then anybody who put in an offer under $30 was automaticaly declined.

I hope that helps mate 🙂

And whats wrong with making an offer of $5.00? After all, it is all about how cheaply you can buy the item and by putting someone on your BBL only means the seller now has one less person who might just buy something off them. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face...

And why not just list it for the minimum price the seller is willing to part with it for?

BIN only means make the lowest offer you can to see if you can buy it.

I get it the seller wants to get as much as possible for an item BUT then again the buyer also wants to get it as cheaply as possible.
