How do u know if u can exchange an intel instead of returning it?

Ask the seller!

"Exchange" means to change one item for another. How do you expect to get another item if you do not send the orginial item back to the seller?

Just wanted to mention that eBay doesn't have an official exchange option - if a seller is actually open to it, it all has to be arranged via message between buyer and seller (they actually discontinued the option for sellers to offer exchanges recently, and made it so that sellers can only offer refunds for returned items - if you ever open a return request officially on eBay, you are formally asking for a refund and the seller won't be able to provide an exchange).
