Hi, guys.

Just wanted to warn all sellers about the awful discovery i made today: UNPAID ITEM ASSISTANT DOES NOT WORK!

At least, did not work for me for at least 2 months!

Here's the facts how i lost at least $60 on seller fees relying on Unpaid item assistant:

I am a seller, and i have unpaid item assistant set up for my account. Today, i realized it DID NOT WORK! I had several non-payers who won items more than $300 worth each, so i had peace of mind that when my 24 days that i specified in assistant pass, they will get a strike and i will get my seller fees. NOT AT ALL! I double-checked, the assistant is on, but NO UNPAID CASES OPEN! Now the resolution centre says it's too late to open cases manually...I lost about $60 on seller fees...

Anyone had a similar problem and what did you do?

Do you accept bank deposits, or only Paypal?

If you accept bank deposits the system has no way of knowing if they have paid or not, without you actually putting it in manually.

I personally send all NPB's a friendly reminder before putting in a claim anyway, so am aware of ones coming up.

The Unpaid Item Assistant only works if the only payment option you offer is Paypal as Paypal payments are automatically marked as paid by eBay.

If you offer other payment options then you have to manually open Unpaid Item Disputes.

I do accept bank deposits, so that's where it all is!

I thought as long as i accepted paypal,assistant would work,

but obviously my bank deposit option cancells it!

I will now keep my eyes peeled!
