Item listed on auction and sold

Item sent and receved with buyer review

Postage shows delivered

Payment still on hold at paypal.

Paypal advises to contact ebay.

Ebay confirms delivery/feedback/&paypal email address

Ebay then advises to contact paypal?

Where is the comunication between paypal and ebay?

I do not know but it is the exact same rule for all new sellers

21 day hold on funds

I take it you uploaded the tracking information at the time of posting?

And the buyer left you feedback (reviews are only for the item itself, not feedback for the seller)

You may need to sell more than one item before they consider an early release on the funds

Or get onto them again, many CS reps just pass the buck so they don't need to 'do' anything

Try uploading the tracking number to Paypal if you haven't already done so.

After being in contact with both ebay and paypal and advised them that the item was delivered and feedback recevied, it was the first time selling on ebay and the process went smooth except funds are still not available to me.

I understand there is a buyer protection and I understand that payments are held for such, what I don't understand is that the two systems don't communicate between the two.

Paypal chat reply; eBay hold the funds for seller and buyers protection. The release of funds can be faster if the buyer already has the item.

Ebay chat reply was to contact paypal.

Is it because I didnt add my bankaccount to Paypal? I only linked a card?

Do I have to become "A verified PayPal member is an account holder who has added and confirmed a bank account."?

Contact paypal again and point out the feedback left by the buyer.0

Also point out that the tracking shows Delivered.

Paypal should then release the funds.

Thanks everyone for your help.

I took your advise and updated the tracking information on paypal and then now just checked ebay and it is now reading

"We've reviewed your transaction and your payment is now eligible for release. Your funds will be available in your PayPal account within 24 hours."

revisiting as this payment is still on hold with paypal,

After contacting paypal again yesterday via live chat, I was informed that they (paypal) are waiting on ebay to release the hold on the funds.

I had been in contact again with ebay and was told that the funds have been released, then again in the afternoon a different agent advised that they would go ahead and release the funds for me. Two different answers now and the later seems to be the case because as of today still no funds had been released and paypal are telling me that they are still waiting on ebay.

The item in question was send 18th and delivered on the 26th June. Positive Feedback was received, email sent to paypal with no reply as of date. Tried phoning both ebay and paypal and automatic voice system points to the help support on their websites.

Question, is this a normal issue? Do I just wait days? weeks?

It's not unusual to have eBay and PayPal each pointing the finger at each other in general. Given that the official policy is you need to wait up to 21 days, it'd be considered well within the normal range.

I'd maybe leave it for a few days and take another look on Friday/Monday.
