How many free listings with Managed Payments

Are the 250,000 just a one off? Or every month? TIA for your help to those who've been on MP for a while.

I know this was discussed on an earlier thread, but am interested to know how it panned out.

I do not recall ever getting the UP TO 250,000 listings, but then again I do not have an anchor store.

I've received unlimited free listings twice before but there was a time limit on both occasions it wasn't an on going thing.

Every month.

It doesn't show in your account - but I have ~600 listings in a featured store, many of which have ticked over this month, and my free listing count shows I've used none of the original 1500 featured stores were / are allocated:

Thank you all for your replies. Live chat is telling me that they're monthly, but we know that waht live chat tells you isn't always necessarily accurate, unfortunately.

No, I don't have a store either. Old mate on live chat is insisting that everyone on MP gets 250,000 (not that I'd need anywhere near that many) per month, whether you have a store or not. I find that hard to believe.

This account was just a basic non store account when it was converted to managed payments. It normally ran 60 - 70 listings per month, and after managed payments commenced was still charged listing fees for every listing over the 40 free.

Hence the conversion to a basic store

We've been on Managed Payments since August last year and downgraded from a featured to a basic store after changing over.

We have around 800-900 listings, and haven't yet been charged for any relists, so agree with digi that it's every month.

Hopefully our non-store accounts will change over soon, so we can list a few more there too.

I have had a basic store and a non store account on MP since July last year and have not had any listings or rollovers come off my monthly free listings allowances (600 in the store, 40 in the non-store) since then (shows as per Digi's example above). I'm not sure if the current offer is the same as it was back then but it appears to be ongoing in my case. Maybe they'll change it once they have everyone transitioned to MP.

Read our full terms for fees when listing an item

All sellers with an Australian registration address are entitled to 250,000 free insertion fees per month for items listed in auction-style or fixed price format in most categories, including relisted items and listings that are ended early.

If appears that the 250,000 is for everybody on management payments, not just stores.

It's 250,000 per month. I have a featured store (previously 1500 listings per month) and I have 7940 listings currently. I am not paying any insertion fees since managed payments began. The 'remaining listings' ticker is still there on my page but it stays at 1500 and doesn't move. I did contact ebay and tell them they should remove that as it's confusing and they said they'd pass that along to the chimp who codes the site.

It's been good for me as I've been able to merge my multiple featured stores into one account, saving on store fees overall.

Wow, that's just insane overkill. Having the possibility to sell a million things in one quarter with no listing fees. eBay must be desperate to retain people once switching over to MP. Maybe they are targetting the Chinese sellers with their huge selling numbers.

eBay stopped making any real money from listing fees a long time ago - the high cost of insertion fees (or so I assume) was actually a deterrent as well as a way to incentivise people to sign up for stores, more than a money-making attempt.

Now that (almost?) everyone will get 250k free listings a month, there is no listing quantity-based incentive to sub to a particular store level, and upgrading to featured or anchored will be purely about sales volume, only giving lower fees to those that make more money.

Thanks. Dave, but it seems that I'm already off and running. Only had 4 free relists left and I've been listing and that hasn't changed! I didn't expect it to be so quick.

I very tentatively tried a couple but it seems like it's working ok.
