Compulsory to link bank accounts?

I don't want to give my bank login to eBay. The amount of money I make here isn't worth the security risk. Is this now compulsory? If so I will be leaving.

I think this is a newer requirement. I didn't have to give the login when I was signed up in July last year, but there are a few members who have come to the boards about it.

There is a workaround, which I can't remember exactly now - other members will step in to advise.

Another option is to open a new unlinked bank account purely for the purposes of Ebay and use those details.

It is simply a rapid means of verifying your bank account details are correct, you can change the password

after the verification is complete.

Possible bypass, From the ebay US version, scroll to the bottom of banks list and select my bank does not appear, or something similar, then proceed.
