VAT Fees?

Could somebody please advise why Ebay is charging VAT as well as FVF's? Im in Australia I thought VAT was British? Ive recently switched to Managed Payments and I dont have a store. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying but I only sell within Australia. They have taken it out of every sale since I was switched over in early May and on two accounts.

I think all you can try is to go to the bottom of that link and use the "chat with us" option.

Are eBay charging VAT or GST? GST has been added to sale fees for the last several years. it will be 10% of the sale fee. VAT is significantly more, so easy to identify.

The VAT is refering to the GST on the service ebay is providing. It is an aditional 10% that they are charging on the profit ebay makes that the Australian government gets.
